Larry Mulvaney, a
distinguished coach for four
decades, brought leadership
and dedication to the
football, track, and
wrestling programs at Mont
Pleasant High School.
As the wrestling coach, Mr.
Mulvaney's dual meet record
was a most impressive 209
wins, 58 losses, and 6
ties. He won 41 sectional
championships, nine state
place finishers, two state
championships, and three
sectional team
championships.

Pleasant, the athletic
program, and the sport of
wrestling.
Coach Mulvaney also finished
with an impressive football
record of 101-63-7 at Mont
Pleasant. He coached three
undefeated teams including
the number one team in New
York State in 1967.
Coach Mulvaney taught
physical education at Mont
Pleasant. He retired from
coaching in 1978.
As a respected teacher,
coach, and friend who gave
from his heart, Mr.
Mulvaney's legacy lives on.
Larry Mulvaney was inducted
into the Schenectady City
School District Athletic
Hall of Fame in 1998. |
