Early Childhood Education

The Fulton Early Childhood Education Center, located on Eleanor Street offers a unique choice in early childhood education to pre-kindergarten students throughout the district and kindergarten students who reside in the Van Corlear Elementary School, Hamilton Elementary School, Lincoln Elementary School and the Academy of Culture and Communication at Pleasant Valley attendance areas.

Students who attend Fulton receive instruction that focuses heavily on the development of literacy skills within a nurturing, personalized setting.

Highlights of the early education program include:

  • small class size
  • comprehensive academic intervention program
  • aide support in every classroom
  • full-day pre-kindergarten option
  • before and after school care
  • bus transportation for students who qualify
    (Qualification is based on place of residence)

If you live in the Van Corlaer, Hamilton, Lincoln or ACC at Pleasant Valley attendance zones, you have the option of enrolling your child in your home school or  the Fulton Early Childhood Center for kindergarten.

Acceptance is first come, first serve and is limited.

Registration must be in person at the Early Childhood Education Program at Fulton, 408 Eleanor Street Schenectady.
