Stacy Kaczmarek

Photo of Stacy KaczmarekStacy Kaczmarek has spent the last decade dedicated to the field of education. She spent the first six years of her career teaching fifth grade in an inclusive classroom in Woodcliff Lake, New Jersey. During her time in the classroom, Stacy served as the fifth grade team leader, co-wrote the district’s writing and math curricula and spearheaded the fifth grade’s transition to using the Reader’s and Writer’s workshop model. Stacy’s classroom served as the lab site for teachers to observe her purposeful differentiation and lessons tailored to both students’ interests and abilities. In 2014, Stacy began her work with Reading Partners New York City as a program manager. In this role, she oversaw the programming in five New York City public schools and supported the individualized instruction of over three hundred readers who were below grade level. Stacy led literacy based workshops for volunteer tutors, staff members and families of students. In the fall of 2015, Stacy became the national program manager of curriculum and instruction for Reading Partners. In this role, she designed an assessment to monitor students’ progress of mastering key comprehension skills, wrote interactive read aloud guides, created print and digital instructional support materials and co-authored a supplemental word study curriculum. As a literacy consultant, Stacy provides interactive workshops to support teachers in cultivating rich reading and writing workshops within their classrooms.
