Yates
students awarded for positive behavior
with Tae Kwon Do lessons
Students at
Yates Magnet School got a special treat for following the rules
this month. The Positive Behavior Intervention and
Supports (PBIS) winners enjoyed a private Tae Kwon Do lesson
with Senior Master Instructor Scott Ferguson of Pai's Tae Kwon
Do in Schenectady.

Students
learned about good health through exercise, being the best you
can be and self-discipline and control. The students also
got pointers on a number of other areas including how to
defeat a bully without fighting, respect for parents,
teachers and classmates, law and order and the importance of
having focus and concentration in order to get good grades in
school.
Senior
Master Ferguson ended the private lesson by showing each child
how to break a board with strong concentration.
Senior Master
Ferguson will return to Yates with Grand Mater Thomas Pai on
February 2 for a school wide assembly.
