Sheila Dixon, SHS
2009, is named Ivy League Basketball Player of the Week
 Sheila
Dixon, a standout basketball player and 2009 graduate of
Schenectady High School, was named Ivy League Basketball Player
of the Week Monday. Dixon, who is a junior guard at Brown
University led the Brown Bears to a 2-1 week and was named the
tournament MVP at the Brown Bear Basketball Classic.
Dixon scored 16
points and pulled down five rebounds in a 66-54 victory over
Rhode Island and a career-high 26 points and six rebounds in a
70-57 win against Providence College.
Dixon got her
first double-double of the season earlier in the week, scoring
18 points and pulling down 11 rebounds. She tallied an average
of 20
points, 7.3 rebounds and 1 steal for the week.
